Anne Hamrick Butler

   Mrs. Anne Hamrick Butler, age 63 of Shelby, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 30, 2023, surrounded by her loving family.

   She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Doug Butler of the home, two daughters, Maggie Butler Marty (Trent) of Shelby, NC, and Gina Butler of Shelby, NC, a sister, Jane Hamrick Brooks (Ben) of Shelby, NC, a brother, John Hamrick (Gailya) of Shelby, NC, and a sister-in-law, Gail Butler of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces, nephews, and grand dogs.

   Born March 14, 1960, in Cleveland County, NC, Anne was the daughter of the late Harrill E. Hamrick and Elizabeth Bridges Hamrick.  Anne was a compassionate, caring, and supportive soul.  She loved her family and dedicated her life to caring for them while staying strong and resilient battling her muscular disease for 30 years.  She kept her faith and family first her entire life.  In her last moments, she knew she was on her way to Heaven to run through fields of flowers barefooted with her Lord and Savior. 

   A private graveside service will be at Cleveland Memorial Park.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:30 am Friday, November 3, 2023, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Aaron Hinton.  The family will receive friends following the service in the Life Enrichment Center.

   The family would like to express a sincere thanks to Atrium Health Cleveland ICU nursing staff for the compassionate care they gave Anne.
