Mrs. Barbara Ann Haynes Church, 69 of Shelby, passed away Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at Carolinas HealthCare System in Shelby.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Michael "Mike" Church of the home, two children, Alenia Scism and husband Jimmy of Shelby, NC, and Michael B. Church and wife Susan of Shelby, NC, four grandchildren, Courtney Scism of Shelby, NC, Kimberly Merrill and husband Trey of Blacksburg, SC, Tabitha Cannova and husband Chris of Kings Mountain, NC, and Matthew Church of Shelby, NC, and two great grandchildren, Mason and Karson Merrill, both of Blacksburg, SC.
Born January 10, 1948 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Church was the daughter of the late Charles and Betty Sisk Haynes. Barbara enjoyed shopping, cooking, and traveling on vacation. Mrs. Church was a devoted member of Living Light Baptist Church. She also loved spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 - 8:00 pm, Friday, August 25, 2017 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel. Funeral Services will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, August 26, 2017 at Living Light Baptist Church conducted by Pastor Jeff Hayes. Burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery in Shelby.
Memorial contributions can be made to Living Light Baptist Church Building Fund, 1540 Kings Road, Shelby, NC 28150.
