Barbara Humphries Lookadoo

   Mrs. Barbara Humphries Lookadoo, age 86 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, August 17, 2024.

 She is survived by her husband of 70 years, Al Lookadoo of Shelby, NC, her two daughters, Melinda L. Jones (Don) of Shelby, NC, and Ginger L. Peeler (Don) of Shelby, NC, 4 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren, and a brother, Tim Humphries (Wanda) of Shelby, NC. 

 Born January 15, 1938, in Cleveland County, NC, Barbara was the daughter of the late Oeland and Eda McSwain Humphries. Barbara was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed working in the yard planting flowers and being outdoors. Barbara also enjoyed watching old westerns and the Atlanta Brave’s Baseball. 

 A private family graveside service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at Beaver Dam Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Tim Ware.
