Betty Ruth Peeler

   Mrs. Betty Ruth Peeler, age 78 of Ellenboro, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, February 8, 2024.
   She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Bobby Peeler of the home, a daughter, Lynn Peeler of Ft. Worth, TX, a granddaughter, Bobbi-Lynae Kennedy of Ft. Worth, TX, a brother, Alan Toney (Alice) of Rutherfordton, NC, two sisters, Mary Jean Blanton of Ellenboro, NC, and Brenda Green of Rutherfordton, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.
   Born October 19, 1945, in Rutherford County, NC, Betty was the daughter of the late I.G. “Glen” Toney and Geneva Freeman Toney.  Betty was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many.  Betty was a faithful member of Race Path Baptist Church where she had sung in the choir and participated in numerous other church activities.  Her smile and energy lit up any room she entered.  She will be missed by all that knew her.  
   A celebration of life will be held at 5:30pm Tuesday, February 13, 2024, at Race Path Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Randall Cooper.  A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Race Path Finders, 1171 Race Path Church Rd, Ellenboro, NC 28040.
