Caleb Toney

Mr. Caleb C. Toney, age 21 of Mooresboro, NC, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2015 at his residence.
He is survived by his parents, Kevin James Mertz II and wife Tracy of Kings Mountain, NC, a brother, C.J. Toney of Mooresboro, NC, his biological father, Steven Ledford of Shelby, NC, his grandparents, Joel F. Toney and wife Wilma of Boiling Springs, NC, Randy F Whitworth and wife Donna of Grover, NC, and Doug Gold and wife Madeline of Shelby, NC, Earl Harris and wife Janie of Ellenboro, NC, and Frank Randall, Norma Gant of Mooresboro, NC, and Dallie Ivey of Shelby, NC, special aunts and uncles, Phil Harris and wife Linda of Mooresboro, NC, Tom Harris and wife Lisa of Mooresboro, NC, and Tonda Toney of Shelby, NC, five cousins, Brook and T.J. Harris of Mooresboro, NC, Andy Hulsey of Bessemer City, NC, and Nick and Josh Goode of Shelby, NC.
Born February 5, 1994 in Cleveland County, Mr. Toney graduated from Crest High School in 2012. He was a member of Race Path Baptist Church. Caleb enjoyed music, motorcycles, hot trucks, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by those that knew him.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 pm Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Race Path Baptist Church, 1171 Race Path Church Road, Ellenboro, NC 28040 conducted by Rev. Randall Cooper and Rev. John Godfrey. A visitation will be held from 1:30 - 3:00 pm prior to the service at the church and at other time at the home of Tracy Mertz, 304 Phifer Road, Kings Mountain or Phil and Linda Harris, 1249 Old Mooresboro Road, Mooresboro, or Joel and Wilma Toney, 212 Toney Street, Boiling Springs. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
