Cheryl Gallman

August 18, 1947 — May 15, 2016

Mrs. Cheryl Annette Thomas Gallman, 68, of Shelby, passed away May 15, 2016 at Wendover Hospice House.
She is survived by her husband, Russell Steven Gallman of the home, two children, Pamela Wray (Christopher) of Shelby, NC, and Steve Putnam (Joyce) of Maiden, NC, eight grandchildren, Caleb Wray, Kendra Appling (Luke), Cameron Wray, Kenslee Wray, Brianna Putnam, Garrison Putnam, Austin Putnam, and Braden Putnam, two great grandchildren, Colton and Karis Appling, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Born August 18, 1947 in Cleveland County, Mrs. Gallman was the daughter of the late Herman Lee Thomas, Sr. and Willie Mae Irvin Thomas and was preceded in death by three brothers, Herman Lee Thomas, Jr., Frankie Thomas, and Jimmy Thomas, three sisters, Louise Hunsinger, Doris McSwain, and Jean Hambright.
Mrs. Gallman enjoyed scuba diving, golf, shooting, the outdoors, and spending time with her family and friends.
Memorial services will be held 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at Christopher Road Baptist Church. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church and other times at Pamela Wray's house, 245 Lawhon Street, Shelby.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Cleveland County, 951 Wendover Heights Drive, Shelby NC 28150.
