Danny Smith

Mr. Danny Michael Smith, age 63 of Mooresboro, passed away July 3, 2018 at Atrium Health in Shelby.
He is survived his children, Junior Michael Smith and wife Philomena of Delaware, OH, and Teresa Dawn Smith of Boiling Springs, NC, a adopted son, Carson Gage McCarty, six grandchildren, Mikayla Smith, Tanner Smith, Tyler Harvey, Luke Smith, Adreonna Mills, and Devin Mills , a great granddaughter, Braelyn Smith, and a brother, Walter David Smith.
Born April 4, 1955 in Cleveland County, Mr. Smith was the son of the late Walter Junior and Martha Green Smith and was preceded in death by three sisters, Judy Canova Smith Philbeck Wall, Debra Jo Smith McAllister Koontz, and Eva Annielou Smith Oaks.
Danny was well known in the community and was the type of person that would help anyone. He was a great supporter of Trinity Baptist Church. Anything and everything Danny did was revolved around his adopted son, Carson. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and supporting Toys for Tots. He also enjoyed spending times with his family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 pm Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Trinity Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Mike Frazier.
