Darlene Edwards

Mrs. Darlene Amelia Edwards, age 66 of Shelby, passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at Wendover Hospice House in Shelby.

She is survived by her children, Steven Thompson (Stephanie) of Shelby, NC, Jamie Thompson (Connie) of Shelby, NC, Sherry Thompson of Shelby, NC, and Wesley Thompson of Shelby, NC, eight grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister, Annette Davis (Glenn) of Lenoir, NC, three brothers, Clarence Edwards (Cathy) of Lawndale, NC, Tim Edwards (Sherry) of Shelby, NC, and Keith Edwards (Cindy) of Shelby, NC, numerous nieces and nephews, and her faithful canine companion, Bella.

Born June 20, 1956, in McDowell County, NC, Darlene was the daughter of the late J.C. Edwards and Connie Currie Edwards.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, April 7, 2023, at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel.  A visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be held at 3:00pm at McDowell Memorial Park in Marion, NC.
