Edward Davis

Royce Davis, age 74 of Shelby, passed away Saturday, April 26, 2014 at his Cleveland Regional Medical Center, Shelby. He was born in Cleveland County to the late Jeff and Rachel Traylor Davis.

In addition to his parents, Royce was preceded in death by his brother Larry Davis.

Royce was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Royce also was an avid Baseball fan - New York Yankees and American Legion Post #82. He also loved the Tarheels and Nascar.

He is survived by his loving wife of 20 years, Nancy Davis; sons Kyle Davis (Leah) of New Jersey, Bobby Earls (Krystal) of Shelby, daughter Lorie Poston (Chris) of Shelby, sister Joyce Gibbs (Bill) of Shelby, sister-in-law Cheryl Davis of Shelby, grandchildren Erika Davis and fiancé Andrew Fink, Kylia Davis, Kylee Earls, Jordyn Earls, Olivia and Gabrielle Poston, Maddie and Morgan Coleman.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm Monday at Cleveland Funeral Services.

Royce's funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday at Bethel Baptist Church, Shelby, NC with Doctor Tim Sims officiating.

Burial to follow at Cleveland Memorial Park, Shelby, NC.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Bethel Baptist Church building fund, 606 South Dekalb Street. Shelby, NC 28150
