Eric Grigg

Eric Patrick Grigg, age 55, of Shelby, NC passed away October 12, 2017 at his residence.
Born September 3, 1962 in Cleveland County, he was the son of Maxine Mull Hembree and the late Patrick Mauney Grigg. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a step-brother, Dr. Tim Bridges.
Eric was an avid bass fisherman and deer hunter.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 22 years, Penny Grigg; mother, Maxine Hembree; brother, Marc Grigg and fiancé Venisha McCraw; sister, Charlotte Norman and husband Chris; step-mother, Ann Grigg; and step-sister, Patti Bridges . He is also survived by two nephews; one niece; many special friends; and his beloved dog, Chloe.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, October 16, 2017 at Cleveland Funeral Chapel with Rev. Chase Robinson officiating. Burial will follow at the Grigg Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm till 2:00 pm on Monday, October 16, 2017 prior to the service at the funeral home.
