Ernest Radford

MARION - Ernest Ree Radford, age 95, of Marion, NC, passed away April 27, 2017 at his residence.
Born January 4, 1922 in McDowell County, NC, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Caroline Radford. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jeanette Hanna Radford; two sons, Ronald and Donald Radford; four brothers and three sisters.
He is survived by six sons, Charles Radford and wife Mary Lou of Marion, Carl Radford and wife Linda of Dallas, Bruce Radford and wife Fran of Dallas, Lawrence Radford of Ranlo, Dennis Radford and wife Frances of Gastonia, and Frank Radford and wife Debrayda of Bessemer City; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 1, 2017 at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Bruce Ward officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:30 to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the church.
