Florence Smith

Mrs. Smith was born in Swain Co., NC and grew up in Western NC in the mountains around Cherokee. After she was married in 1929 she lived in the Charlotte area until her husband died. She has lived in Cleveland County since 1985. She graduated Sylva High School and Greensboro Bible and Literary School and attented the school of nursing at Gastonia, NC. She was a avid traveler, loved to garden and raise flowers and vegetables. She furnished flowers for Marvin UMC for many years. She also painted in oil, mostly flowers and scenes.
