Gladys Galloway

SHELBY - Gladys Hipps Galloway, 81, of Shelby, NC passed away April 4, 2015 at Wendover Hospice.
A native of Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late Hobert and Zulia Hipps.
Gladys was of the Pentecostal faith and retired from textiles.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Harold Hipps and Dwight Hipps.
She is survived by her husband, James Galloway; brothers, Marvin Hipps of Asheville, Paul Hipps and wife Judith of Shelby, Jerry Hipps and wife Judi of Shelby; sister, Dorothy Stroupe and husband Michael of Shelby; special brother-in-law, Waymond Galloway and wife Irene of Brevard; and several nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 8, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel with Rev. Jerry Allen officiating.
Interment will follow the service at St. Paul Baptist Church Cemetery, 337 Hull Rd., Casar, NC.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
