Jean Freeman

Mrs. Jean McMillan Freeman, age 86 of Shelby, NC, passed away peacefully at her residence surrounded by her family Sunday, March 1, 2015. A memorial service will be held 1:00 pm Saturday, March 7, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services and Crematory Chapel conducted by Rev. Andy Stevens. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Ashes will be spread in Scotland on a later date.
She is survived by her daughter, Lorraine Enste and husband Russell of Shelby, NC, six grandchildren, Amanda Enste Johnson and husband Scott of Clearwater, FL, Phillip Wilson and fiancé Jessica Decker of Wilmington, NC, Ryan Enste of Shelby, NC, Victoria Wilson of Shelby, NC, Kaitlyn and Sydnie Enste of Shelby, NC, and two great grandchildren, Gabriel and Logan Johnson of Clearwater, FL.
Born July 28, 1928 in Scotland, Mrs. Freeman was the daughter of the late Archibald and Elizabeth (Tonner) McMillan and was preceded in death by her husband, Cpt. George Freeman, two sisters, Morag Blair and Isabell Malyon, and a brother, Alexander McMillan.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Graham Elementary School for the construction of the Memory Garden, 1100 Blanton Street, Shelby NC 28150.
