Mrs. JoAnne Queen Warlick, age 87 of Shelby, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 2, 2023.
She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Buren Warlick of the home, a daughter, Rhonda Lovelace (Joel) of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, Alexa and Alana Lovelace and her faithful canine companion, Bella.
Born June 18, 1935, in McDowell County, NC, JoAnne was the daughter of the late William “Rucker” Queen and Viola Stafford Queen and was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Gibson, and two brothers, Billy Queen and Bobby Queen.
JoAnne was a dedicated wife, loving mother and grandmother. She was a faithful member of Faith Baptist Church where she sung in the choir. JoAnne enjoyed singing, sewing, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren.
The family would like to express a sincere thanks to the staff at White Oak Manor in Kings Mountain for the loving care they gave JoAnne during her stay.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00pm Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church conducted by Dr. J. Barry Goodman and Rev. Johnny Owens. A visitation will be held from 1:00pm – 2:00pm prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Park Cemetery.
