John Jarrells

December 27, 1935 — August 29, 2018

Mr. John "Ed" Edward Jarrells, age 82 of Boiling Springs, NC, passed away Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center in Rutherfordton.
He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Martha Munday Jarrells of the home, four children, John Jarrells, Michael Jarrells, Sandra Leeder, and Brenda Henry, all of Texas, a stepson, Shane A. Solomon of Mt. Holly, NC, numerous grandchildren and one special grandson, Joshua Lee Solomon, a brother, Joe Jarrells of Florida, and a sister, Diane Adkins of Nebraska.
Born December 27, 1935 in Boyd County, Kentucky, Mr. Jarrells was the son of the late John Millard Jarrells and Hazel Ann McGraw Jarrells and was preceded in death by his first wife, Etta Teats Jarrells, two brothers, Don and Lee Jarrells, and two sisters, Jeanie Jarrells and Freida Bloomberg.
Ed served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge 1282 in Corpus Christi, TX. Ed loved people and the outdoors and had never met a stranger. The thing he loved the most was working his garden and playing with his grandson.
A memorial service will conducted at 10:30 am, Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Willow Ridge Rehabilitation & Living Center, 237 Tryon Road, Rutherfordton, NC, 28139.
