Joi Stanley

November 30, 1969 — December 16, 2017

At 3:24 am on December 16, 2017 Joi Christina 'Christy' Stanley finally beat her pain and her sickness surrounded by her husband, sister, children, and dear friends. She is survived by her husband George "Chris" Stanley, her sister Jenni Johnson, sister-in-law Holly Herbert, her children Robert Woodard, Kimberly LeAnna Umphlett, Randy Umphlett, and Jessie Stanley, Grandchildren, Alexis, Brayden, Tristan, and Serenity, Nephews Wyatt and Jacob, Grandmother Ann Russell, Aunts Bobbie, Pat, Jeannie, and Annette, Uncles Mark and Paul, Cousins Larry Jr, Wayne Jr, Chris, Debbie, Susan, Donnie, and Kelly, her close friends Matthew, Briar, Lisa, Kris, and Ann, and her 5 beloved furbabies Bearbear, Boo, Tessa, Rosie, and Peach among the other many animals in her life.
She was preceded in death by her mother Joi Russel Rose and brother Michael Rose, her best friend Terry Mullins, and her precious 'Bearbear', 'Buddy', and 'Brandy'.

Christy was born and raised in Virginia, a place she loved dearly but came to North Carolina for her husband. She had a sassy, bright, and hilarious personality. She was kind and the people she loved, she loved fiercely. Christy had such a love for animals and treasured her babies. She endured a lot of pain in the last few years of her life and while we are heartbroken at her sudden passing, we are thankful she's no longer in any pain and is with the ones she's missed for so long.

Her Shelby based Memorial will be at Christ Covenant Ministries near the Shelby Airport, on Thursday December 21st at 7pm.
