Joseph Anthony Blondo

   Mr. Joseph Anthony Blondo, age 72 of Lattimore, NC, passed away Sunday, May 12, 2024, at his residence surrounded by his family.

   He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Esther Blondo of the home, his children, Jennifer Swaringen (Mack) of Spartanburg, SC, Patricia Spraul (Jed) of Manassas, VA, Stephen Blondo (Marcie) of Willow Grove, PA, Stephanie Baldassari (Kevin) of Ranson, WV, Andrew Blondo (Dana) of Cottontown, TN, and Joanna Town (Joshua) of Philadelphia, PA, twenty seven grandchildren, three sisters, Ella Felix of Philadelphia, PA, Angeline McTighe (Art) of Southport, NC, and Joann Renshaw of Harleysville, PA, and numerous other nieces and nephews.

   Born October 15, 1951, in Philadelphia, PA, Joseph was the son of the late Anthony Blondo and Eleanor Morris Blondo.  Joseph was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.  Joseph accepted Jesus as his personal savior early in his marriage and was faithful in his walk with the Lord through his memberships at Calvary Baptist Church in Elkins Park, PA, and later at Maranatha Baptist Church in Shelby, NC.  Joseph was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Philadelphia Phillies fan.  “Go Eagles”  

   A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, May 17, 2024, at Maranatha Baptist Church conducted by Rev. James Davidson.  A visitation will be from 9:00am – 11:00am prior to the service at the church.  Joseph will be buried at George Washington Memorial Park in Plymouth Meeting, PA. 

   A second funeral service will be held at 10:00am Wednesday, May 22, 2024, at Calvary Baptist Church.  A visitation will be held from 9:00am - 10:00am prior to the service at the church.  Following the service, there will be a reception from 11:00am - 12:00am at the church.  A burial at George Washington Memorial Park at 2:00pm.

   In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Ambassador Baptist College dedicated to the Ryan Burchwell Scholarship, P.O. Box 158, Lattimore NC 28089.
