Linda Putnam Tesseneer

 Mrs. Linda Putnam Tesseneer, age 83 of Shelby, NC, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.

 She is survived by her sisters, Jean Stepp of Shelby, NC, Frances Jones (Barry) of Cliffside, NC, Aileen Putnam of Shelby, NC, Helen Gibbons (Gary) of Shelby, NC, Carolyn Ledford (Neal) of Shelby, NC, and Marie Stallings (Steve) of Shelby, NC, a son-in-law, Kenneth R. Hamby, Jr., of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, Kaitlin Hamby and Rachael Hamby, both of Shelby, NC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Born September 21, 1941, in Cleveland County, NC, Linda was the daughter of the late Julius Franklin Putnam and Edna Waters Putnam and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 37 years, Kenneth Tesseneer, a daughter, Lisa Gail Hamby, a brother, Frankie Putnam, and a sister, Janice Putnam.

 Linda was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a faithful member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church where she sang in the choir. She worked as a seamstress starting at a young age and continued throughout her life creating items for her family. She also worked as a sales associate at Roses, JC Penney, and A.V. Wray’s in Shelby. Linda especially enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her. 

 A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Derek Greene. A visitation will be held from 10:00am – 11:00am prior to the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
