Mark Gilmore

Mr. Mark Alan Gilmore, age 55 of Shelby, NC, passed away Thursday, August 6, 2015 at his residence. A memorial service will be held 4:00 pm Monday, August 10, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Pastor Allen Davis. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home and other times at the house of Peggy Benson.
He is survived by his wife, Bonita King Gilmore, three stepchildren, Marion Adams of St. Lewis, MO, Wesley Adams and wife Permelia of St. Lewis, MO, and Ashley Adams and husband Daniel of Polkville, NC, four grandchildren, Blaise Adams, Nicole Dover, Michael Dover, and Marybeth Shinners, two brothers, Robert Gilmore Jr of Shelby, NC, and Michael Herbert Gilmore of Las Vegas, NV, two stepsisters, Susan Chamberlin and husband Wayne of Wilmington, NC, and Brenda Owen and husband Darrell of Wilmington, NC, two stepbrothers, Thomas Benson and wife Judy of Charlotte, NC, and Randy Benson of Wilmington, NC.
Born March 2, 1960 in Shelby, NC, Mark is the son of Peggy Brigman Benson and the late Robert James Gilmore Sr. Mark enjoyed fishing, watching nascar, music, and spending time with his family and friends.
