Martha Pauline McDaniel Piercy

 Martha Pauline McDaniel Piercy, age 81 of Shelby, NC, passed away Thursday, September 19, 2024, at Cleveland Pines Nursing home in Shelby.

 She is survived by her children, Michael Piercy, William Piercy, Jay Piercy (Dana), Mary Piercy, Judy Lowery (Jerry), David Piercy (Joy), James Piercy (Lori), and Betty Lovelace, all of Shelby, NC, two grandchildren, a great grandson, a brother, Doc McDaniel of Cliffside, NC, a sister, Mary Morgan of Sharon, SC, and numerous nieces and nephews.

 Born November 27, 1942, in Cleveland County, NC, Martha was the daughter of the late Robert Lee McDaniel and Ruthie Mae Ervin McDaniel and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years, J.C. Piercy, a son, Johnny Piercy, a daughter, Jane Piercy, three brothers, Robert McDaniel, Danny McDaniel, and Albert McDaniel, and a sister, Lovie McDaniel.

 Martha was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She enjoyed working on crafts, listening to gospel music, and making baby dolls. Martha worked and retired from PPG as a creel tender. She will be dearly missed by all that knew her.
