Marvin Philbeck

Mr. Marvin Jerry Philbeck, age 70 of Shelby, NC, passed away Thursday, November 26, 2015 at his residence.
He is survived by his daughters, Julie P. Huffman of Conway, SC, and Jeri P. Spargo and husband Jimmy of Statesboro, GA, Brothers Joe Philbeck of Shelby, NC, and Jackie Philbeck of Gastonia, NC, and two grandchildren, Alexandra and Morgan Spargo.
Born January 17, 1945 in Romulus, Michigan, he was the son of the late Marvin Reed Philbeck and Inez Warren Philbeck. Jerry worked and retired from Rexel Electric. He enjoyed music, racing, college basketball (Duke), sports of any kind, collecting items of interest and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held 3:00 pm Friday, December 4, 2015 at Cleveland Funeral Services Chapel conducted by Rev. Andy Stevens. A visitation will follow the memorial service. A private burial will be held at Cleveland Memorial Park.
