Paris Philbeck

Mr. Paris Ray Philbeck, age 80 of Earl, NC, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at his residence.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Carolyn Porter Philbeck, daughters, Lynn Philbeck Todd, Regina Oaks Hulsey, Christine Oaks Alford, Sharon Oaks Kelly, LeeAnn Davenport, Loretta Philbeck Harrison, sons, Dewey Lee Oaks and James Oaks, 20 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandson, a brother, Edward Philbeck and a sister, Faye Newton.
Born August 24, 1937 in Cleveland County, Mr. Philbeck was the son of the late Forest Philbeck and Gracie Melton Philbeck and was preceded in death by a son, Ranson Allen Philbeck, a brother, Junior Philbeck, and two sisters, Betty Estes and Lillian Summers.
Mr. Philbeck served in the United States Army. Ray enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, and all that knew him. He loved wearing his overalls and all the children loved him. He will be missed by those that knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 pm Friday, June 22, 2018 at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Jackie Price and Pastor Barry Philbeck. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Union Baptist Church.
