Todd Lail

   Mr. Todd Lail, age 60 of Shelby, passed away peacefully at Wendover Hospice House on Thursday, June 1, 2023.

   He is survived by his brother, Scott Lail (Teresa) of Delight, NC, three nieces, Stephanie Justice (Jason) of Shelby, NC, Andrea Yates (Chad) of Kings Mountain, NC, and Jessica Doster (Corey) of Boiling Springs, NC, a nephew, Victor Costner (Shane) of Delight, NC, two sisters-in-law, Vanessa Lail of Kings Mountain, NC, and Pamela Lail of Boiling Springs, NC, and numerous great nieces and nephews, his extended family from the flea market, and the corner stores.

   Born February 7, 1963, in Cleveland County, NC, Todd was the son of the late Ralph Marvin Lail and Carolyn Diane Piercy Lail and was preceded in death by his brother, Randy Lail.

   Todd never met a stranger.  He loved helping people by cutting their grass.  Todd enjoyed spending time at the flea market meeting new people and sharing stories.  He loved watching NASCAR and considered Dale Earnhardt Sr. and Dale Earnhardt Jr. his favorite drivers. 

   A funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Monday, June 5, 2023, at Cleveland Funeral Services conducted by Rev. Scott Caldwell.  A visitation will be held from 2:00pm – 3:00pm prior to the service at the funeral home.  A burial will follow at Sunset Cemetery.

   The family would like to express sincere thanks to the staff at Wendover Hospice and the nurses and staff at Atrium Health in Shelby.
