A native of Rutherford Co., he was an army verteran. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bill & Vernie McSwain & father-in-law, Dwight Rollins. He is survived by his wife, Judith Rollins McSwain; daughter & her husband, Jessica McSwain Deyton & Max Deyton; sister, Martha McSwain Little; two grandchildren, Christian Neill Deyton & Stephen Deyton and mother-in-law, Clara Blanton Rollins.
