Z. Hoppes

SHELBY - Z. B. Hoppes, 85, of Shelby, NC passed away June 4, 2015 at Wendover
Hospice.
He was the son of the late Malvin and Essie Hoppes.
Z. B. was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church, where he was part of the
Men's Fellowship Class. He was a United States Army veteran serving during the
Korean conflict, a Mason and a Shriner.
He is survived by wife, Lois Hoppes; children, Sharon Baldwin of Shelby, Tony
Hoppes and wife Dawn of Mocksville; brother, Garland Hoppes and wife Judy of
Ellenboro; two grandchildren, Bradley Baldwin and wife Lauren, Elizabeth Dean;
and a great-grandson, Ethan Baldwin.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Roger
Baldwin; a sister and her husband, Lois and Harlan Owens.
Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Poplar
Springs Baptist Church with Rev. Andy Oliver officiating. The family will
receive friends from 1:30 till 3:00 pm on Sunday at the church prior to the
service. Interment will follow the service at Poplar Springs Baptist Church
Cemetery.
