Amelia Matthews

Amelia Anne Matthews, 74, passed away on September 4, 2021 at Hospice of the Carolina Foothills.

She is survived by a son, Dennis William Matthews, and a grandson, Tommy Peou, both of Ellenboro, NC.

Born in Montgomery County, Maryland on November 18, 1946, Amelia was the daughter of the late Jack and Ruth Genevra Jones.

Amelia loved the beach, raising horses and gardening. She was an avid NASCAR fan and always cheered for Kevin Harvick. Amelia was close to her family and they will always appreciate the home cooked meals she prepared for them.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date.
