Curtis Tessener

Curtis Leland Tessener, 85, passed away on January 4, 2021 at Peak Resources in Cherryville, NC.

He is survived by a son, Ricky Tessener and wife Sherry of Boiling Springs, NC, two grandchildren, Bambi Tessener Jones and husband, Matthew of Mooresboro, NC, and Ricky Tessener, Jr. and wife, Apryl of Shelby, NC, and six great grandchildren, Landon Black, Colin Black, Levi Jones, Tilly Jones, Bree Tessener, and Jake Tessener, and two sisters, Buna Daniels of Morganton, NC, and Paulette White of Shelby, NC.

Born in Cleveland County on January 13, 1935, Curtis was the son of the late, Charlie Lester Tessener and Dula Mae Causby Tessener. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Laura Jane Earls Tessener, a son, Curtis Tessener, Jr., and a granddaughter, Crystal Tessener Black.

Curtis loved the outdoors and enjoyed his woodworking hobby. His passion was his family and he was devoted to his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Faith Baptist Church Cemetery on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at 4:00pm. The family requests those that attend please respect the COVID-19 social distancing standards and wear a mask as well.
