Michael "Slick" Mashburn

Michael “Slick” Mashburn, age 69 of Kings Mountain, NC, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Friday, August 27, 2021.

He is survived by his children, Lori Mashburn Freeman of Forest City, NC, Andy Tedder (Christy) of Kings Mountain, NC, Daniel Tedder (Donna) of Cherryville, NC, and Tim Tedder (Tabitha) of Forest City, NC, five grandchildren, Haley Mashburn Phan (Kenneth) of California, Chastity Mashburn Jones (Eddie) of Coward, SC, Abigail Freeman of Forest City, NC, Jackson and Blake Tedder of Cherryville, NC, a great granddaughter, Makenzie Jones, a sister, Paula Board of Forest City, NC, a brother, Doug Mashburn of Charlotte, NC, and a special companion, Sheba.

Born on September 14, 1951 in Rutherford County, Slick was the son of the late Paul and Reba (Green) Mashburn and was preceded in death the love of his life, Elaine Tedder and two brothers, Jeff and Perry Mashburn.

Slick was a faithful member of One Accord Independent Church.  He served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.  Slick enjoyed spending time at Lake James with his friends.  He was the kind of person that would help anyone that was in need and never met a stranger.

A Funeral service will be held at Cleveland Funeral Services on Thursday, September 2, 2021 at 11:00am with a visitation held one hour prior. A burial will follow the funeral service at Cleveland Memorial Park.
